maybe the last time?

Unfortunately, my girl is feeling rather poorly today! Earlier, I was working on the computer & she asked if she could sit in my lap - to which I said "of course!" She proceeded to crawl into my lap, lay her head in my arms, her feet on my desk & fall fast asleep. Can I tell you, it felt good to have my baby asleep in my arms - her weight, her heavy breathing... It makes me a little sad to think that she probably won't fall asleep in my arms too many more times...

Now, that I think about it I might just go & take a little nap with her...

God on his T

Today my boy celebrated our friend Ila's baptism with a drawing. This morning he proudly pointed out where he had drawn "God on his T". Again, I ask, where does he get this stuff from?

lunch

I have this obsession about making the perfect lunch for my boy! Seriously, everyday I try to make the yummiest lunch ever! Fortunately, he isn't too hard to please. Today it was a homemade "lunchable". He'll probably grow up lamenting the homemade lunchables I fix him. I can just hear him now... "all I ever wanted was an Oscar Mayer lunchable..."

Mud Buddies

I wanted you to get the full effect of the fun my kids had today so I had to give you lots of pictures! I promise you, I had to turn down bathing suit requests several times! They really had so much fun though! Playing in the puddles & mud kept them occupied for a good two hours! Four hours if you count the time it took to get all that mud off of them & my bathroom!!

**A shout out to Danielle who was suffering from some birthday blues...hope the show is back on the road!

Marley & Me

This is our neighbors dog - who happens to be named Marley - he's pretty cute, huh? You can tell by my girl's outfit that both of my kids took advantage of the 1st sunny afternoon we've had in a while. They quickly shed their winter duds & found their summer ones stored under the bed - even though it was still a bit chilly! Everyday, on the way to school they ask me..."Mama, when is Spring? How much longer?" It's a good thing they were born in the South, huh Kathleen?

Voices

Driving up to Atlanta today, from the back seat I hear him say...

"I can hear voice mail in my head."
