Forsythia

I'm not sure why, but that last picture is my favorite of this series! I especially love these images because of that little leather purse she is wearing...I too wore that purse many, many years ago! I can clearly remember the day my parents gave me that purse, we were living in Germany and attended a craft bazaar on the Army post. My Mom actually got the exact same purse, only in an adult size! It was super special to me, because if you lift up the front flap you'll see the letters L & A stamped into the leather - those are my initials & believe me, to that 4 or 5 year old...that was awesome! Who ever thought nearly 40 years later my own child would collect goodies with it!

You know that you're a Waldorf Mom when your daughter comes home & tells you that she wants a Spring Lady and you can whip one up in three days or less!! Ta-Da!!

Jump roping

The past few days I've had the privilege of making some images for the kids school and their yearbook. It's been a neat experience, seeing bits & pieces of our wonderful school. My favorite part today was being able to watch Lou on the playground today! I caught this wonderful image while she was jump roping - her latest achievement!

Spring Equinox

Yesterday we celebrated the Spring Equinox with some friends! Although it may seem early to begin dying Easter Eggs these colorful eggs will help us both celebrate the coming of Spring and anticipate Easter! The celebration also included a birthday party for the "Girls" responsible for the lovely eggs we dyed! Nothing says "Happy Birthday" like a wheat grass birthday cake!

Drummer Boy

I'm not sure if I haven't updated lately because we've been so busy or just slack? The time change really has thrown us for a loop! When it's still bright & sunny outside my kids have a harder time understanding why they have to come in for the day at 6:00pm! They are both so excited about the changing weather - One of them is always pointing out flower buds & green grasses declaring "A sign of Spring!"

The other day we joined some friends for a quick trip to the zoo. While waiting for the rest of our party my boy met this gentleman drumming outside the gate...he didn't have to be asked twice if he'd like a chance to drum...

DJ Mom

Many of you know that Moms wear many, many hats...cook, bottle washer, birthday planner, chauffeur and on & on... This morning I realized I was wearing another hat...a much cooler hat than bottle washer... I am a CD spinning, button pushing, knob turning DJ! That's right, every morning & afternoon my children shout out their requests as I boogie our way to and from school. Fortunately for me, my kids have good taste in music...right now our play list includes Alanis Morissette, U2, Amos Lee, Tyler Lyle and Liam Finn - some mornings I feel as cool as Samantha Ronson - but without having to deal with Lindsay Lohan!
