So, the time came for us to "harvest" our "crops". We eagerly started with our potatoes...
Everyone dug right in, digging up all the potatoes they could find...which weren't many...
I love the look on my girl...is she disgusted by the carrot or the Lingenfelter Family's ability to "farm"?
We seemed to be more successful at growing worms! Too bad we're vegetarians...
The whole time we were digging my boy kept shouting..."we're the Farmer Family, we're the Farmer Family..." All I can say is thank God for Publix...

love that look on leighton's face!!!!
I heart this post is titled Ode to Pioneer Woman. Leighton's face is priceless. It is similar the expression I would give my mother when she said, "Go out and get some tomatoes and peppers."
Next, please do an Ode to Dooce (dooce.com). She reminds me of your hippy family a little more.
hahahaa.... thats sooooo fantastic! loveeee the pics!!! :)
In theory, I would love to have a farm with chickens, etc. However, when it gets down to it, I'll save that 'pleasure' for any future date when the #$*& hits the fan, and I HAVE to grow all of my own food!
The photos are priceless!
That is exactly how I feel about carrots too.
Future Farmers of America. Organic I hope too.
Love to all
Daddy
