The Scariest Thing EVER!!!

True story...

The other night we were finishing up dinner. Both kids had finished their meals and were up wandering around the table. The Husband & I were trying to have some adult conversation, when the next thing I know my boy is whispering in my ear...the scariest words a mother never wants to hear...

I looked at my husband with fear on my face, my stomach had dropped and it took a few seconds for my brain to catch up with reality. He could tell that I had been struck by fear - and said "what did he say?" to which I replied "you will never believe what our 5 year old boy just told me!" And he said "I think he told me, this afternoon, when I picked him up from school!"

My sweet, precious, naive', five, nearly six year old little boy walked up to me and whispered in my ear...

..."my girlfriend is pregnant!"

I thought about saying "congrats," but I think I will skip that sentiment.

Wow. Like Danielle, I gasped out loud as well and felt a pit in my stomach. You better start home schooling this boy immediately.

HOLY COW! someday that will be very funny...until then, did you ask him what "pregnant" means...you might get an even funnier & way less scary answer.

Oh. My. Goodness. Just who is this sweet girl in such a delicate situation? Would it be sweet MM? I teach her on Sunday mornings. Apparently I have not been doing a very good job.

see, the girls always get the blame! yes, paige it was sweet mm that has been spreading this rumer and you have been doing a good job in sunday school...i think that maybe i haven't been doing a good job at home. in mm's defense, my sister just had a baby and my good friend is pregnant at work. according to amos and mm they have had 3 dates and are getting married or so they told ms teresa when they got caught kissing in line time...i just hope that amos doesn't break mm's heart and leave her to raise this baby on her own!
