Weekend Wedding
This weekend, the husband had the privilege of performing a wedding ceremony for two crazy kids from the college...this provided us the perfect opportunity to dress up & practice our wedding etiquette...right...and I'm not talking about the kids, but that's a story for another blog.
Anyway, since we were all dressed up in our seersucker finest, we thought we would attempt some family pictures...below you'll find a testament to the trouble we went through...the way those kids were screaming you'd think we'd just told them that Diego & Dora had been in a horrific bus accident travelling through the Andes.

but I persevered & came up with these cutie-pie shots...

Random thoughts
1. Driving by a house and seeing a little girl dancing in her living room
2. Listening to Amos Lee
3. Thinking about my husband and 2 kids driving home in our new car
4. Noticing that these things made me happy

Camp
Some of you already know this, but I have been helping the local college organize a camp for 5-8th graders...in all honesty, it hasn't been nearly as bad as I imagined. That said...I am still not looking forward to having two middle schoolers of my own... They on the other hand have really enjoyed the time they have spent with these kids. This picture is from the gym portion of the camp. The kids are put through drills and exercises by the coaches - mine couldn't wait to participate!

All clear!
I know it seems like I just dropped off the face of the earth, but in reality we took a quick trip to Alabama to visit my Dad who was in the country for two weeks.
But, before I get into those pictures, let me tell you about my Boy's 1st trip to the dentist...He did such an awesome job! I think it probably had something to do with the TV that was turned on a cartoon station during the whole procedure, but still... he braved the whole ordeal, x-rays, scraping, tooth counting, cleaning, flossing, flouriding & the once over by the dentist...and no cavitities! Plus the dental hygenist told us one of his front teeth was loose! I'm truly not ready for him to lose his 1st tooth!

that's my man...
What a good daddy he is! He has built our children this "tree-house" - that's what Diego (the boy's new self-proclaimed name) is adamant about calling it, not a play house, but a tree house. Their dad has worked long and hard on this project and it's nearly complete. I'm very proud of his handy-work!
