Meghan came over yesterday to hang out with Amy-Lee & Lou. While we were gone Meghan got pictures of him that I can never, ever get...why will he pose for her but not his Mom? (Why do I feel like I'll be prefacing a lot of my future sentences with. . ."why will he do ____ for her, but not me?") Anyway, these are the cutest, funniest pictures. I love to see pictures of my kids that other folks take, it's kinda weird to see how other's see your child.

I couldn't choose one picture that would do this scene justice, so I made the collage, but there is one picture that is my favorite. . .

You can say you knew him when. . . this kid's gonna be a rock star! You can tell them his mama told you so! Rock on!

I've been thinking a lot lately about the fact that there are NO pictures of me...duh! I'm always the one taking pictures! And while I don't think I'm particularly photogenic, I do want my children to grow up with pictures of their Mama. So, I've made a decision that I'm going to concentrate on having more pictures of me taken, regardless if it's me by myself with my camera on autotimer...

Playdough minus flour from China

I despise playdough! It gets into everything! Somehow it ends up all over the floor everytime! However, my kids love it, go figure. So, what's a mother to do with a sick 3 year old & a bored 2 year old? That's right...make some ourselves. Obviously I'm a glutton for punishment!

Maybe you've noticed I haven't blogged in the past few days... well, it's because we were out of town visiting our good friends the Walter's & their sweet new baby, Patrick. It was so good to spend time with them!

The story behind this picture is much better than the picture itself. Tonight we were at our Wed. evening supper with the neighbors & Lou was playing with Violet, who I believe is going on 9, on a little plastic slide (probably about 3 feet long). Violet was sitting on the slide ( her entire body covering the slide & then some) and Lou squatted down & said "here, I catch you." She was as sincere as she could have been... "here, I catch you."
